Get ready for e-invoicing with PaySorted
PaySorted is a UK invoicing app for tradespeople that also chases unpaid invoices for you. We built e-invoicing in early, so our users don't have to think about 2029.
What PaySorted does today
- Knows who you're invoicing. The first time you invoice a customer, PaySorted asks whether they're a homeowner, a business or a public body, and remembers it.
- Makes the e-invoice for you. For businesses and public bodies, PaySorted creates an e-invoice file in the Peppol format (Peppol BIS Billing 3.0) alongside your normal invoice. You can download it from any invoice today.
- Checks nothing's missing. It tells you if an e-invoice is missing something it needs, such as your customer's VAT number, a public body's buyer reference or the VAT rate on a line.
- Handles credit notes and puts the VAT domestic reverse charge in its own VAT category.
- Keeps homeowners simple. Homeowners still get a normal invoice with a link to pay by card.
What's coming
- Sending over Peppol. We'll switch on sending through an accredited Peppol provider well before the rules start, at no extra cost.
- The UK standard. When HMRC publishes the UK format, we'll update PaySorted to match. The app updates itself, so there's nothing to install.
- CIS. CIS deductions show as a note on the e-invoice for now, until HMRC confirms how they should appear.
An honest note. The UK's e-invoicing rules aren't final, so no software can promise today that it meets them. What we can promise is that PaySorted already uses the Peppol network's own format, and that we'll keep it up to date as the official details are published.
And the reason most people choose PaySorted
E-invoicing is a small part of it. PaySorted sends quotes and invoices from your phone, sends polite payment reminders automatically until you're paid, takes card and bank payments, and handles CIS and VAT. It works with Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent and Sage, and your accountant gets free access.
