About this guide

E-invoicing UK is a free, plain-English guide to the UK's e-invoicing plans, written for tradespeople, sole traders and small businesses.

Who we are

This guide is written and paid for by PaySorted, a UK invoicing and payment-chasing app for trades. We make it because our users asked us what e-invoicing means for them, and the official documents aren't easy to read. PaySorted is a trading name of Gary Callaway, 61 Harcourt Gardens, Bath, BA1 4DL.

This is not a government website. We're not connected to HMRC, HM Treasury or the Department for Business and Trade.

How we check our facts

• Every fact comes from an official source: GOV.UK, HMRC, HM Treasury, legislation.gov.uk or another government body. Each page lists and links to its sources.
• Where something hasn't been decided, we say so rather than guess.
• We check the official sources every week and update the guide when something changes. Each page shows when it was last checked.
